Financial Management


The Financial Management program is a 3+2 partnership with the University of New Mexico (UNM) in the United States. For the first three years, students undertake undergraduate studies in China, and qualified students can transfer to UNM during the fourth year for further undergraduate studies. After passing the TOEFL and GMAT tests, students can pursue their Master's degrees at UNM. Qualified students will earn Bachelor's degrees at the Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai, and Master's degrees at UNM.

CURRICULUM

Students are required to take core courses in calculus, linear algebra, statistics, finance, accounting, economics, marketing, management, etc. Besides the core courses, students also need to take more courses in finance, such as investments, banking, international finance, financial risk management. At SUC, dedicated faculty provide individualized attention to students in order to help facilitate their success.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

The Financial Management program prepares students to build a successful career and a lifetime of service in the finance profession. With solid background in quantitative analysis, students can take the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) test and pursue graduate degrees after graduation. Students who successfully earn the bachelor of business administration degree with a major in finance may pursue careers with commercial banks, securities firms, investment banks, insurance companies, government agencies and non-for-profit organizations.
